Today, diode lasers are used for numerous surgical
applications because they are less invasive and, in some
instances much more precise than traditional methods. The
combination of the latest medical lasers and special
phototherapeutic products (photosensitizers) that are
activated with laser light heralds a new era in medicine. This
new biotechnology will replace many conventional forms of
treatment and provide treatment for illnesses that have been
very difficult to treat up to now.
