In your ENT Practice
The versatile system to extend & develop your range of
ENT laser procedures
 |
A precise, delicate and
effective instrument for minimally invasive procedures
in outpatient, day case and the operating theatre:
- Nasal Surgery
- DCR (Dacryocystorhinostomy)
- Oro-pharynx
- Otology
- Larynx
- Paediatric surgery
- Trachea
- Treatment of tumours
- Endoscopy & Micro-Endoscopy
- Vascular Lesions

|
EVOLVE™ in ENT system from biolitec enables surgeons
to develop laser treatments for nasal, oral cavity, laryngeal
and ear surgical procedures to their full potential.
Using fine laser fibres down to 220ųm core diameter, a
wide range of procedures can be performed in a bloodless
environment, facilitating faster patient recovery and with
reduced post-operative pain.
Based on innovative diode laser technology, the EVOLVE™
system design is compact, functioning with high reliability
and no routine maintenance requirements.

EVOLVE™ – Tissue Interaction
|
|
The 980nm wavelength is strongly absorbed by water and
haemoglobin in tissue. The resultant zone of coagulation
enables EVOLVE™ to be used for precise procedures
close to delicate structures, particularly in combination with
the 220ųm fibre. In comparison with the CO2 laser, the
980nm wavelength provides a good haemostatic effect and a
bloodless operating field, even in highly vascular areas such
as nasal polyps.
The EVOLVE™ system can be used in two ways: By
using the fibre in ‘contact’ with the tissue for incision,
excision, vaporisation or coagulation of tissue that generates
a narrow zone of coagulation or in a ‘non-contact’ mode
for vaporisation & coagulation with deeper coagulation of
1-3mm.
